as the leaves turn

i miss home the most

the leaves here aren't the same.

i want to see them in brilliance

scatter the grass,

instead of the streets.

i want to take brisk walks at night

wearing my mittens and fur hat.

i want to wear my wooly knitted sweater, snuggled up in your arms,

most of all.

but here i don't have that;

the leaves aren't the same,
